About me...
I’m an Edinburgh based artist and illustrator with a lifelong passion for making marks on things with pencil, pen, paper, paints and pixels.
After studying illustration and photography in Edinburgh I established an art studio on George Street Edinburgh in 1997 (It was in the basement of a pub...).
During that time I landed a range of illustration clients in the corporate, publishing, government and not for profit sectors. I also completed private commissions and sets of limited edition prints. I am lucky to have artwork in private collections all over the world.
I spent the next seventeen years living and working in Australia and New Zealand. I had a great time but I tended to paint with people and processes as I was as a business consultant, investor and director for some reason (long story).
While living and traveling overseas the opportunity to create was limited by all the working, travelling and having fun. I have a near twenty-year backlog of projects I am in the process of completing.
I am a huge fan of my beautiful city of Edinburgh and of the gorgeous Isles of Scilly which feature prominently in my work.
